Marilyn Nathan, 81, of West Branch

Marilyn Sue Nathan, age 81 of West Branch, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at her home. Marilyn was born on April 14, 1942, to William Stewart and Lucile Estelle (Van Voorhis) Steinmetz in Canton, Ohio.

Marilyn enjoyed sports especially Ohio State, camping, crocheting, reading, loved cook outs with family, and gospel music.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Jeanette (David) Leathorn, Shirley (Bradley) Davis, stepdaughters, Jenny (Kevin) McCutcheon, Margaret (Anthony) Hope, grandchildren, William, Elizabeth, Christopher, Annabelle, Shana, Scott, Shanell, Sean, Adam, 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and nieces, Tammy, Kim, and Susan. Also surviving are her sisters; Elizabeth (Dave) Schwab and Evelyn Steinmetz.

She is preceded by her brother, Lawrence Steinmetz, nephew, Phillip, great nephew, Austin, and parents, Stewart and Lucile Steinmetz.

A special thanks to Shana and the wonderful staff of Compassus Hospice, especially Alexis and Emily.

Memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice or Ogemaw District Library.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
