Pam Reed, 73, of West Branch

Pamela Sue Reed, age 73, born March 1, 1951, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024. Pam was born in Pontiac, Michigan to George and Marion Mynatt. She was an only child.

Pam married Jeffrey R. Reed on August 10, 1968. They began their life in Milford, Michigan and moved to West Branch in 1978. Pam worked at Rau Taven, Clear Lake Bar and retired from Bortz Nursing Care Facility as a ward clerk. Pam and Jeff were a part of the Clear Lake community where they spent summers at the beach, parties at the bar and other community activities. They were both part of the Clear Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Pam and Jeff put on many miles on Jeff’s Harley, traveling to Sturgis and many other local charity and fun runs.

Pam loved golfing. In her more active days, she played on the Clear Lake Softball team and in winter months on a bowling league. She enjoyed her holidays. She was known for her homemade Halloween costumes and at Christmas going all out with decorations. She was especially proud of her Christmas Village. Pam enjoyed her outside flower gardens.

Pam loved her dogs, Inky and Rocky and enjoyed her 50 gallon fish tank.

Pam is survived by her children, Mary Jo (Tony) Ryland and Jeffrey (Christina) Reed. She had 6 grandchildren, Robert Cromwell, Ashlyn Guild, Cody Reed, Corbin Ryland, Suthern Reed and Easton Reed. Her brother-in-law Scott (Jean) Reed, sisters in law Paula (Jim) Killinger, April (Jake) Jameson, Laura Reed, Julie Reed and Kathy Reed. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Jeffrey R. Reed, parents George and Marion Mynatt, Sister-in-law Dawn Moore; brothers in law Patrick Reed, Mark Reed and Dean Reed.

Cremation has taken place, and no service is scheduled at this time.
