Ralph “Ed” McManus, age 84, of Prudenville passed away on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Ed was born on November 25, 1938 in Hollywood, Florida to Ralph and Vera (Dukes) McManus. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from General Motors. He was married on May 19, 1989 in Saginaw, Michigan to Bonnie Schmitt. The couple moved to Prudenville after his retirement. Ed loved music, enjoyed exercising and was an avid gym member. He also enjoyed fishing, painting street cars and loved to reminisce with his family and friends.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 34 years; Bonnie McManus, son; Scott McManus, daughters; Cheryl (Jon) Scharrer and Dawn Dockins, grandchildren; Kaela McManus and Jacob McManus, Casey Scharrer and Sawyer Scharrer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
