Mornin’ from the Mitten

By Mark Constance

Good morning Northern Michigan!

I spent some time at the Grayling business expo yesterday at Kirtland Community College. There was a small but enthusiastic group of businesses owners there. It was great to get out and talk with people I hadn’t seen since last Fall.

The area’s next  business event is the Houghton Lake Chamber of Commerce expo at the Northern Center, located at 7784 Stone School Road in Houghton Lake. The public is invited to attend from 4-7 p.m.

I took the picture of these pastel cabins at the Mai Tiki Resort, located between Tawas and Oscoda on Lake Huron. There aren’t any leaves yet and the grass is still brownish, so these cabins stuck out like a sore thumb.

Quote of the day is from Nanea Hoffman:

“Happy Friday. Here’s to all of us who made it through another week of faking adulthood.”
