Walter Pietrzyk, 89, of Grayling

Walter Richard Pietrzyk age 89 of Grayling passed away March 15, 2024. He was born March 15, 1935, in Detroit the son of Walter and Viola (Guzik) Pietrzyk.

Walter served in the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1964. He worked in Construction most of his life and at one time owned his own Construction Company. Walter was a very skilled at his trade and loved to Deer Hunt. He loved his dog, Brandy.

Walter married Pamela Baker September 5, 1998, in Grayling. They were together 34 years and were married 25 ½. Walter loved going to Florida with Pam and they were able to for 12 years in North Fort Meyers. He loved going to the pool, out to eat and enjoying time with friends.

Surviving is his wife Pamela Pietrzyk of Grayling. Children; Paul (Tracy) Baker of Roscommon, Donald (Eva) Baker of Lake Odessa, Scott (Jen) Baker of Roscommon, Brent (Elena) Pietrzyk of Greenville, South Carolina and Michelle Pietrzyk and Justin of St. Clair Shores. Grandchildren; Brittany (A.J.) Nitz, Turisa (Randy) Ballam, Morgan Gulick, Bailey Baker, Clay Baker, Emma Baker, Mariah Baker, Carter Baker, Blake Baker, Blaine Baker, Natasha Baker, Holden Baker, Trevor Baker, Dylan Conflitti, Ava Conflitti, Lake Pietrzyk and Esmeralda Gomez. Great grandchildren; Auden Nitz, Finley Nitz, Avianna Ballam and Eian Ballam. Brother-in-law, Doug and Sally Legg and family and sister in law Linda and Jim Teeple and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard and special friends Guy Waggy and Ed Nichols.

Graveside Memorial Services with Military Honors will be at Elwood Cemetery in Grayling Saturday, April 27th at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
