John Richard Harris, age 72 of Flint, MI., passed away on March 23, 2024. He was born on August 10,1951 in Flint, MI., to the late Richard James and Ida Mae (Barber) Harris.
John was a lifelong resident of Flint. He worked for General Motors for 32 years, where he started at Fisher Body, then to Buick City, and lastly at the Engine Plant.
John enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening, yard work, and working on a variety of engines.
John is survived by his children, John P. Harris, Shelly (Todd) Guthrie, and Michael J. Harris; mother of his children, Judy Harris; sisters, Pamela Dailey and Teresa (Emil) Iverson; grandchild, Todd Guthrie Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have services for John at the Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI., on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Visitation will be from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Funeral at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Esmond Evergreen Cemetery in Hale.
