Cordell ‘Corky’ Carpenter, 29, of Roscommon

Cordell “Corky” Edwin Carpenter, age 29, of Roscommon, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at home in St. Helen, Michigan.

Cordell was born March 4, 1994, in Traverse City, Michigan, the son of Dale and Donna Carpenter.

Cordell’s love of family, friends, being outdoors, fishing, going to the lake, bonfires, photography, being a feeder in the AuSable River Canoe Marathons, and watching the Detroit Lions, etc., will always be remembered. Cordell was truly a kind and loving person. He had the uncanny ability to always figure things out and find joy when least expected. He enjoyed adventuring, collecting sports memorabilia, and spending time with his close friends and family.

He is survived by his parents, sister Kennedy (Christopher) Bell, “fur” nephews, an uncle, and many aunts and cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Cordell touched are invited to gather for a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM, with an hour of gathering prior, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

In honor of family wishes, it is asked you plant a tree in a special place in his memorial for you to cherish and visit for years to come.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
