Carolyn Sue Gifford Cunningham, of Standish died 3/4/2024 at Brittany Manor in Midland, MI at the age of 84. She was born 11/11/1939 to the late Russell and Priscilla (Yates) Gifford in Ashland, Kentucky moving to Michigan in the 1950’s. Devoted mom, grandma, GG, sister, wife and friend she cherished her family but showed no mercy at the family poker table or the Euchre tables in Hale.
Carolyn is survived by three children; Amy (Rick) Wood, James (Annette) Green, and Brandy Milostan; four grandchildren, Brian (Kris) Wood, Alexzandra Karoline (Samantha) Hutchins, Quentin Tomas Green and Mikayla Jo Holstein; great-grandchildren, Lilli Elizabeth, Ella Mae, and Robert “RJ” Luke Gene; a brother, John (Mary) Grifford; a sister, Ruth Ann Wilson, and many loving stepchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther “Luke” Cunningham; 2 brothers, James (Pru) Gifford and Ed (Cathy) Gifford; 3 sisters, Norma (Opia) Clark, Janet (Frank) Vincent and Anita (Jim) Jaskiewicz. Per Carolyn’s request, cremation has taken place without a service. Please keep her in your hearts as she did you.
