Arla Bullard, 87, of Roscommon

Arla Jean Bullard, beloved wife and mother, age 87, of Roscommon, formerly of Berkley, passed away peacefully, on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Grayling, Michigan.

Arla was born October 14, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude (Mahhon) Taylor. She graduated from Hazel Park High School. Arla married Kaye Bullard on November 3, 1956, in Royal Oak, Michigan. Arla and Kaye met at a friend’s party in Clawson, Michigan, and it was the first time Kaye laid eyes on Arla. He mentions Arla was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and the rest was history. She was the love of his life. Arla and Kaye lived and raised their family in Berkley for 40 years before moving up north to Roscommon.

Arla will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Kaye

of 67 years; daughters: Laurie (David) Welsh of Clarkston, Michigan, Jackie Graham of Roscommon, Michigan; son, Larry (Sharon) Bullard of Roscommon, Michigan; grandchildren: Ryan (Danielle) Welsh, Katherine Welsh, Trevor (Nikki) Welsh, Erica (Mike Kelley) Moore, Sara (Chris Liskey) Moore, Luke (Echo Odorico) Graham; great-grandchildren: Abbi, Teagan, Ben, Rowan, Cameron; brother-in-law, Terry Bullard; nieces: Cheryl and Charlene; as well as many beloved friends and neighbors.

Arla is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Rick Bullard; and her beloved dog, “Daisy.”

A Memorial Service at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, in Roscommon, Michigan, will be held and announced in the next few weeks.

If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Arla’s name to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
