Joyous was born to Clarence W. Noggle and Hazel M. Doan on January 25, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a sister of the Eastern Stars, and she played the organ for the Episcopal Church in Omer and Standish. Joyous also ran her own restaurant in Omer for many years. She went on to then drive the school buses for Augres-Sims and Arenac Eastern Schools before her retirement in 1991. Joyous loved to read books, play bingo, go fishing, complete crossword puzzles, and spend quality time with her family and friends.
Joyous is survived by her son, Frank J. (Kathy) George Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer George, Angela (James) Daly, Frank (Barbara) George III, Cheryl George, and Dennis George; great grandchildren, Katlin Daly, Kaydence Daly, Kayanne Daly, Emma Morley, Kendal Anderson, and Regan Anderson; and her special niece, Kim Childers. In addition to her parents, Joyous is preceded in death by her husband, Frank George Sr.; son, Michael George; sister, Joanne Tekson; and her brothers, Gary Noggle, Oren Noggle, and Floyd Noggle.
A service will be held for Joyous at the Buresh Funeral Home in AuGres, Michigan on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM. The family will welcome the public for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Joyous will be then laid to rest with her husband in Linwood Cemetery following the service.
