Ted Maday, 85, of Twining

Theodore C. (Ted) Maday passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Carriage House in Bay City, MI. Ted was born in Sterling, MI on June 24, 1937 to the late Charles and Stella Maday. Ted graduated from Sterling High School in 1955. He was employed in the automotive industry, first at Northern Tube in Pinconning, then as a skilled tradesman at General Motors’ Saginaw Metal Casting/Grey Iron Foundry. He retired in 2000.

Ted married Marie Dion in 1961, and they moved to Twining in 1968 where they raised their family.

Ted is survived by wife, Marie; sons, Mark (Darla) and Jeffrey, and daughter, Lynne; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Paul) Clise and Alexander (Jessica) Maday; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Clise, Theodore Clise, and Penelope Maday. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Stella Maday, and his siblings, Dorothy Scheid, Rita Sharpe, Frank Maday, and Robert Maday.

The family will welcome friends on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 3 – 8 PM at Buresh Funeral Home in AuGres, MI. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11 AM (in-state 10 AM) at St. Mark Catholic Church in AuGres, MI with a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place in Resurrection of the Lord Cemetery in Standish, MI. You may offer your condolences to the family online at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
