Ina “Big Twin” Lou Lloyd, age 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her home in Gladwin, MI. She was born on July 18, 1952, in Newport, Arkansas to Henry and Minnie Lloyd.
Ina is survived by her husband Dave, sons David (Dina) and Jason (Cindy) and siblings Will Lloyd (Vickie), Rita Burt (Lee), Terry Lloyd (Diane), Rochelle Hanner (John), Zac Lloyd, Aunt Ruth Reynolds, sister-in-law Paula Lloyd, brothers-in-law Barry Hershon (Earline) and Greg Veenhuis (Rita) and grandchildren Logan, Ella, Chase, Lucas, Dylan and Delilah. Ina and Dave found a part-time home in Palm Harbor, Florida in 2012. She leaves behind friend of 60 years Effie Vitinaros (Nick), many nieces and nephews and friends at the Bay Aire RV Park and in the Gladwin community. She was a devoted wife, doting mother, loyal sister, adoring aunt, caring neighbor, and sympathetic friend.
Ina was preceded in death by parents Henry and Minnie Lloyd, her dear twin sister Nina Lloyd and siblings Billye Sparks, Joyce Gates, Lanny and Eric Lloyd. She was a 1970 graduate of Beecher High School and worked at General Motors Grand Blanc as a supervisor, steel procurer and production scheduler, retiring after 30 years. Ina loved University of Michigan Football and the Detroit Tigers. She loved hosting friends and poker nights and dances at the RV Park.
A memorial service for family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Ina will be held Saturday, June 17 at Lee-Ramsay – Gladwin Chapel, from 12 noon until 3 pm.
