Carrie M. Primel, age 94 of St. Helen, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Horizon Senior Living in St. Helen. Carrie was born on March 6, 1929, to Cecil and Martha (Hicks) Estes in Harrisburg, Ill. She has lived in St. Helen for over 8 Years, previously of Bradenton, FL. Carrie was a nurse for McLaren Flint for over 28 years. She enjoyed baking, canning, and movies.
Carrie is survived by daughter, Liz (Al) MacDonald of St. Helen, son, Michael Taylor of VA, daughter, Vicki McEvoy of Bentley, son-in-law, Gale Pienozek of Bentley, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 1st husband, Homer Dean, 3rd husband, Paul Primel, and daughter, Linda “Diane” Pienozek.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Bryan Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
