Mary Ann Jones, age 94, passed away on Monday, May 22,2023, at The Villa at Rose City. She was born on October 28, 1928, in Detroit, MI to John and Mary (Musielski) Kozlowski. Mary Ann lived in St. Helen for 25 years, formerly of Detroit.
Mary Ann was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women. She volunteered at West Branch Regional Medical Center as a greeter and St. Vincent DePaul in Roscommon. She was also involved with Girl Scouts when her girls were young.
She enjoyed word searches, playing Sudoku, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Mary Ann is survived by her children Denise (MaryBeth Sutten) Dorsz of Dearborn Heights, MI, Elizabeth Calcaterra of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, Mary Margaret McQuade of West Branch, MI, Michael (Marie) Dorsz of Las Vegas, NV, and John Jones of Warren, MI; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Donald Dorsz, second husband Robert Jones, grandson Joseph Calcaterra, and sister Irene Kozlowski.
Visitation will begin at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen, MI on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be at St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Father Jerry Hunko will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
