Ken Revord, 65, of AuGres

Kenneth C. Revord passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and daughters on April 26th, 2023 in AuGres, MI.

Ken graduated from Arenac Eastern High School in 1975. He was also a student of Delta College.

Ken was employed at General Motors in various positions for 30 plus years, starting his career in 1976, retiring in 2006. He was especially skilled in union matters. After retirement, he was an OpEx consultant for several years.

Ken’s hobbies included spending time at his cabin in the UP with family and friends. He loved to be outdoors and was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and snowmobiler. He was especially happy when he was out on his boat fishing. Growing up on a farm, he grew his love for horses. He enjoyed his time as a volunteer fireman for the AuGres Sims Fire Department. Ken is survived by his wife Gail, who he married on August 9th, 1985. He is also survived by his daughters, Tonya Brahier (Raymond) of Battle Creek, Mi, Becky Edmonds (Keith) of AuGres, Rebecca Revord of Sterling, Mi., Nicole McQuarter, Beaverton, Mi.

His surviving brothers and sisters include James (Daun) Revord, National City, MI; Daniel (Karen) Revord of Turner MI; Catherine (Michael) Yatson, Henderson, NV; Lorraine (Lynwood) Leightner, Cheboygan, MI; Ronald Revord of AuGres, MI; Douglas Revord of Twining, MI and brother-in-law Mark Powell of Battle Creek, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Charlene Revord, and his sister, Melanie Powell.

His surviving grandchildren include Ashlee, Bailie, Zach, Dakota, Abby, Zach, Heidi, Sidney, Amien, Grace. He was a great grandpa to Carter, Rowan, Teagan, Lahnia, Matthew, Lincoln, Adelynn, Carsynn, one little girl soon to arrive.

He is also survived by his very close friends, Jim McFarlane, Rick Coleman, Dave Westphal. Ken’s family wishes to thank Dr. Bhatt and Dr. Lui for their excellent care throughout his cancer treatment. Also, special thanks to Ken’s Hospice nurses Amanda and Joan.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5th, 2023 in AuGres, MI at Buresh Funeral Home, 101 E. Michigan Ave., starting at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 12:00 Noon. The family invites you to join them in celebrating Ken’s life at a luncheon following the service at Edmonds’ AuGres Inn at 324 E. Huron Road, AuGres, MI.
