Robert Dell Qualls, age 83, of Roscommon, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Graylng, Michigan.
Bob was born December 5, 1940, in Denver, Tennessee, the son of J.C. and Livonia (Simmons) Qualls. Bob will be remembered for raising and racing pigeons. He coined himself “Pigeon Man” but was best known as “Papa” to many. Bob enjoyed supporting all the Roscommon Bucks Athletics, he rarely missed a game. He loved gardening and enjoyed providing vegetables to the community. Having been a business owner himself, Bob continued to have an impeccable work ethic. He was a hardworking man and loved giving to everyone, up to the very end of his life.
Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his three daughters: Kimberly
(Jamie) Kowalsky of Highland, Michigan, Kelly (Troy) Hull of Roscommon, Michigan, Kari Alquist of Jacksonville, North Carolina; grandchildren: Meghan (Misha) Zaderej, Kyle (Abigail) Kowalsky, Cody (Elise) Thompson, Sarah Thompson, Jett Robert Thompson, Jaecc Thompson, Rebecca (Patrick) Johnson, Eric Robert (Hannah) Stapula, Philip (Kimberly Cerone) Alquist, Alyssa (Zack) Alquist; great-grandchildren: Clyde Robert, Adelaide, Noah, Eli; brother, Dean Qualls; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rebecca; brother, Von Qualls; and not to forget, “Pepper.”
Family and friends will gather from 6:00-8:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653. The Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, also at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors.

Bob will be laid to rest at Gerrish Township Cemetery, Roscommon, Michigan.
If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Bob’s name to the Roscommon Free Methodist Church, 1515 North M-18, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
