Carolyn Ann Perkins, age 83, of Tawas City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024. Carolyn was born in East Tawas, Michigan, to the late Joseph and Martha Greenwood on October 26, 1940. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of the Tawas Area, and she was a proud graduate of Tawas Area High School Class of 1958. Carolyn worked at her most memorable job, Dawn Donuts, where she enjoyed interacting with everyone that came in. She spent several years there before she ended up being a day care provider until her retirement. Some of her favorite hobbies consisted of watching game shows and hallmark movies, planting flowers around the house, feeding the birds, and spending time with her much loved dogs throughout the years. Carolyn was a very loving and giving woman who greatly valued her friends and family, and she will be missed dearly by many.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Joe (Claudia) Milburn, Kim (Clint) Coleman, and Jeff (Lisa Stack) Perkins; grandchildren, Asia Milburn, Bradley (Emma) Milburn, Sarah (Seth) Carncross, Adam Milburn, Evan (Coriahna) Milburn, Katie Coleman, Caleb Coleman, Ian (Morgan) Perkins, Jocelyn Quashnie, Zackery Perkins, Brooklyn Dorn, Veronica Stachnik, and Kelton Stachnik; great-grandchildren, Claire, Alice, Isla, and Ezra; and her beloved dog, Willow. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph “Hank” Greenwood and Martha Greenwood; her son, Jerry Milburn; and sister, Betty Greenwood.
Per Carolyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be holding a memorial service at Buresh Funeral Homes in Tawas City, Michigan, at some point this summer.
