Elizabeth Yoder, 91, of Mio

Elizabeth M. Yoder, born August 11, 1931 in Chardon, Ohio, died March 7, 2023 at her home in Mio, Michigan, surrounded by her family.

She leaves to mourn her 8 children: Ruth (Sam) Gingerich, Joseph (Bertha) Yoder, Clara (Marion) Bontrager, Wilma (Marlin) Hochstetler, Paul (Linda) Yoder, Elizabeth (Aaron) Schmucker, David (Deborah) Yoder, and Mark (Laura) Yoder; 72 grandchildren, 145 great-grandchildren and 5 sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents Menno I. and Fannie Hershberger, her husband Joe K. Yoder, 2 stillborn children, 1 son Simon Yoder, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 3 – 7 PM at the Marion Bontrager Residence, 287 N. Galbraith Road, Mio, Michigan; and on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 10 AM – 8 PM, also at the Marion Bontrager Residence at 287 N. Galbraith Road, Mio, MI, where funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 9:30 AM.  Interment will follow at the Amish Kittle Cemetery, Mio, MI.
