MaryLu Maroney, age 79, of Roscommon, died on Monday, February 20, 2023, in West Branch, in the presence and comfort of her family.
MaryLu was born December 26,1943 in Traverse City, Michigan, the daughter of Kenneth and Viola (Taylor) Geiger.
MaryLu married George Thomas Maroney (deceased, 2019) on July 30, 1965, in Traverse City, Michigan.
MaryLu enjoyed frequent trips to the casino. She also enjoyed reading, and camping, but most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Mary Lu will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: Kenneth Maroney of Scottsdale, Arizona, Michelle Maroney of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jeffrey (Kammy) Maroney of West Branch, Michigan; Yolanda Treece of California, her ten grandchildren; her twenty great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Geiger of Traverse City; and many nieces, a nephew, cousins, and friends.
MaryLu is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; brother, Edward Geiger.
MaryLu’s family has chosen to remember her privately at this time.
The family prefers memorial contributions to be made in MaryLu’s name to the Roscommon County Commission on Aging, 1015 Short Drive, Suite A, Prudenville, Michigan 48651.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
