James Keavey, age 87, of Oscoda, MI passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, February 20, 2023.
He was born on July 23, 1935 in New York City, NY to the late James and Sabrina (Tonroy) Keavey. James joined the Air Force in 1952 and faithfully served for 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for D & M Railroad for an additional 20 years.
His biggest joy in life was his wonderful, loving family and traveling.
James is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian Keavey; children, Phil (Sandy) Keavey, Joann (Greg)Pancost and Alan Keavey; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11 AM at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the local humane society.
