Ken Bell, 85, of Rose City

Kenneth Deloy Bell, age 85 of Rose City, MI, passed away peacefully at his home on February 20, 2023. He was born on March 12, 1937 in Ypsilanti, MI., to the late Delbert and Clara (Rickard) Bell. In 1957 Ken married the love of his life, Nancy (Killackey) Bell. They had over 63 years together and raised 3 children. Ken was a longtime manager of the Shell station in Rose City and then moved into the oil field production industry where he remained for over 30 years working for Muskegon Development. When he was not working he enjoyed hunting and fishing, softball, and spending time outside cutting wood, mowing the grass, and making homemade maple syrup from the maple trees on his property. Ken was a former president of the Ogemaw County Fair Board. Ken loved the fair so much, that each year while the fair was open, he and his family would camp out at the fair grounds. Ken also belonged to the local Masonic Lodge for many years.

Ken is survived by his children, Joe, Jennifer, Jon (Patti); sister, Gladys; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Ken is preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

Per Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Masonic Lodge West Branch 191 Page St. West Branch, MI. 48661. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com to share condolences and memories of Ken.
