Anna Short, 92, of Lupton

Anna May Elizabeth Short, age 92 passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 23, 2023. She was born on December 19, 1930 in Lupton, Michigan to the late Edward and Gladys Page. Anna May married Ray Short in 1949 and they raised three children while building an excavation company, landfill, and beef cattle farm in and around the Lupton, Michigan area.

Annie enjoyed bowling, golf, wood working, playing cards, Yahtzee, Scrabble, watching wildlife, snuggling her little dog, and being around family.

She was an excellent cook who always made sure to invite and include friends who didn’t have family around during the holidays, and you never knew who might show up to dinner.

Annie is survived by her children, Buster (June) Short and Jackie (Dick) Booth, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren.

She leaves behind three siblings Pat (Eugene) Hasse of Rose City, Jerry (Karen) Page of Jackson, and Carol (Leroy) Short of Hale, and special friends Rosie and Vicki Kisser of Lupton.

Anna May was predeceased by her daughter Sandy (Kirk) Ludlow, siblings Donna Page, Wilford and Patty Page – Rose City, James Page – Oklahoma, Frank and Barbara Page – Vassar, and Leota Page – Hale.

Per Anna May’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A small family gathering and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
