David Ian Willis, age 43, of Oscoda, MI, formerly of Farmington Hills, MI passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 after a long battle with illness.
He was born on October 24, 1979 in Farmington Hills, MI to David Earl and Barbara Jean Willis. David graduated from Oscoda Area High School in 1998 and went on to obtain his Associate’s Degree from Ferris State University.
The AuSable River was David’s playground and where you’d find him spending most of his time boating, fishing and swimming. When he wasn’t on the river, David enjoyed golfing, playing basketball and being a part of the men’s pool league in Oscoda.
He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Willis; daughter, Daisy Lynn Willis; aunts and uncles, Quinton (Patricia) Willis, Larry Willis, Tammy (Terry) Bell, Pamela Dennis, Dwane Willis, Margaret Lawson and numerous cousins. David was preceded in death by his father, David Earl Willis.
A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday January 14, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Eagles Club in Oscoda.
