Michael James Bruce, age 64, of Roscommon, died on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at his home.
Mike was born September 24, 1958, in Hazel Park, Michigan, the son of James and Nancy (Senay) Bruce . Mike enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. After high school, Mike joined the service and later became a Sonar Technician for the United States Navy. After his years of service had come to a close, Mike chose to pursue a career as an electrical lineman. Mike worked for the IBEW Local 17 for most of his career. After many working years, Mike then decided to retire in his family cabin in Roscommon, MI.
Mike will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by: his daughter, Jennifer (James Sirr) Bruce of Rochester Hills, Michigan; his son, Andrew (Catharine White) Bruce of Roscommon, Michigan; his son, Jeremiah (Jessica) Bruce of Lapeer, Michigan; his grandchildren: Camerin, Wyatt, Silas, and Jonas; his sister, Dana Zapinski of Royal Oak, Michigan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents.
Mike’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.
Mike will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in the spring.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
