James Tkachuk, 71, of Gladwin

James Steven Tkachuk loved living his life in his retirement home in Gladwin that he had been working on for over 30 years. There he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and boating. He hosted many camping outings on his property. James was also very proud of his carpentry work. He is deeply missed by his loyal fur baby Hannah.

James is survived by his son, Steven Tkachuk of Kalamazoo, sister, Julie (Roger) Bird of Belleville, nieces, Carey (Doug) Blair of Romulus and Kate (Mike) Boehmer of Manchester and nephew, Ryan (Vanessa) Bird of Romulus. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Steven and Agnes (Kozma) and brother Charles Tkachuk.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 5 pm with family sharing at the David C. Brown Funeral Home in Belleville, Michigan. Immediate family will greet friends from 2 pm on January 7, 2023, until the time of service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel.
