Shirley Iovaldi, 73, of Prudenville

Shirley Ann Iovaldi, age 73, of Prudenville passed away on Saturday November 12, 2022.

Shirley was born on September 26, 1949 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to Ambrose “John” and Doris (Laesser) Iovaldi. She graduated from Harper Woods High School. Shirley worked for ANR Pipeline as a secretary for many years before retiring. She later worked for a couple car dealerships and Fraser schools before moving to Prudenville. Shirley was a member of the Houghton-Higgins Elks Lodge and the Houghton Lake Moose. Shirley volunteered several days a week to help at the Elks Lodge. She was a world class cake decorator and would make the themed cakes anytime they needed them at the Elks Lodge. She was also very artistic in making bird houses, jewelry and wreath making and also enjoyed painting.

Shirley is survived by her son; Steve (Morgan) Rutherford of Fraser, grandchildren; Levi, Michaila and Luke, life companion; Tom Nicholson. She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Ryan Rutherford and brother; John Iovaldi.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at the Houghton-Higgins Elks Lodge on Sunday December 11, 2022 from 1-3 pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Shirley are asked to be directed to the Houghton-Higgins Elks Lodge. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
