Dale Boudrie Sr., 86, of Prudenville

Dale Arthur Boudrie Sr., age 86, of Prudenville passed away on Monday, November 14th, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Dale was born on July 10th, 1936, in Highland Park, MI, to Arthur & Mabel (Boesch) Boudrie. His childhood was shaped by the many years he spent on his family’s farm in Sebewaing, MI. He attributed all that he was to the life lessons he learned during his time there and from his beloved Aunt Freda Boesch.

Dale met his wife, Betty, while delivering goods to her workplace. She caught his eye and he walked right up to her and said, “When are you going to take me to lunch?” To which Betty promptly replied, “Right now,” as she grabbed her purse and headed for the door. They began dating and the rest is history. Dale & Betty were married in October of 1957 and relocated to Palm Beach, FL, where they raised their three boys before returning to Michigan.

Anyone who knew Dale knew how much he loved his family. He was the epitome of a “Family Man.” He loved to garden and to be outdoors. He liked to build things and he was very talented at it. But above all, his life was devoted to being a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his adoring family.

Dale is survived by his sons, Jeff (Lori) Boudrie of Dundee, John (Rhonda) Boudrie of Brooklyn, and Ken (Beth) Boudrie of Houghton Lake; Six grandchildren: Valerie, Kimberly, Michelle, Judy, Dale and Taylor; Four great-grandchildren: Dallas, Emersyn, Briar, and Brody; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife & soulmate, Betty; parents, Arthur Boudrie and Mabel & Al Anti; and brothers, Kenneth & Roy Boudrie.

Per Dale’s wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2022, at the Markey Township Hall from 2-5pm located at 7400 E. Houghton Lake Drive, Houghton Lake, Michigan 48651. You may express your condolences to the family at www.christler-holdship.com Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
