Michael Andrew Zielke, 62, of Merritt passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 29, 2022.
Michael was born on October 31, 1959 in Pontiac, Michigan to Frederick and Barbara (Kitchenhoff) Zielke. Getting into the work force righ out of high school, Michael worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years in general contracting. Michael was married on September 21, 1996 in Houghton Lake to Zelma (Frederick) Zielke. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors in any way. He was an avid gardener, handyman, chef, sportsman and Lion’s Fan. He was also a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Although, Zelma and his grandchildren were his favorites.
Surviving Michael are his loving wife of 26 years, Zelma Zielke; Children, Andrew (Stephanie) Zielke, and Alicia Norman; Grandchildren, Faith, Rorrey, Bradleigh, and Easton Zielke, Landon Peterson, and Myah Norman; Sisters, Cheryl (Wayne) Miller, Christina Lehr, and Teri Fogarty. He was further survived by many other loving family members and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his Parents, Frederick and Barbara Zielke; Sister, Patricia Zielke; and his Grandparents, Leo and Helen Kitchenhoff.
A Memorial Service for Michael was held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Houghton Lake Eagle’s Club at 2:00pm.
