Martha LaVere (Rennix) Brown, age 92 of South Branch, MI., passed away at her home on June 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born on May 11, 1930 in Elkins, West Virginia to the late Virgil Claude and Lovejoy (Reid) Rennix. On June 21, 1963 Martha married the love of her life, Richard Allen Brown and they shared over 58 wonderful years together.
Martha enjoyed their northern Michigan property and home where she loved hunting, fishing, bowling, dancing, and cutting wood.
Martha is survived by her husband, Richard Brown; daughter, San (Jim Kosloskey) Brown; sons, Bill (Sue) Brown, Michael Brown, Rob Brown; brother, Bill Rennix; sister Jenny Lou Gear; grandchildren, Bryan (Jackie) Brown, Jake Brown, Keith (Shannon) Simpson; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Addison, and Emma Simpson; and many nieces, nephews, & friends. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lovejoy; sister, Yvonne, daughter-in-law, Dawn.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI. Visitation will begin at 12:00 with the funeral at 2:00pm, and Interment to immediately follow at Esmond Evergreen Cemetery.
