Charles Bellville, 94, of Hale

Charles Clayton Bellville, Age 94, of Hale, MI passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

Charles was born on February 21, 1928 in Omer, MI to the late Charles and Erma (Burnside) Bellville.

He married the love of his life, Kaye Marilyn (Webb) in 1950. He served in the United States Army for 2 years during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he owned and operated the Locker Plant in Hale, MI, retiring in 1989.

He enjoyed hunting, trout fishing and gardening. He sang in the choir at the Hale United Methodist Church and was a member of the American Legion and Hale Lions Club.

He was also the recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. Charles is survived by his wife Kaye; children, James (Debra) Bellville, Eric (Pattie) Bellville and Beth (Rick) Weaver; sisters, Jeanette Bronson and Carole Carrick; sister-in-law, Leaberta Bellville, brothers-in-laws, Richard (Shirley) Webb and William (Sue) Latter; grandchildren, Brad (Rakesha) Bellville, Lindsey Grace, Chad (Sweet Emma) Skarbek, Jamie (Cody) Chrivia and Bethi (Rakesh) Hansraj; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Tundra, Brinlee, Bristol, Bria and Connor Hansraj as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Maurice and Elwood and brothers-in-law, Gerald Bronson and Eugene Carrick.

Services for Charles are scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Hale United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with funeral at 12:00 pm. A luncheon will follow the service. A private interment is scheduled for later in the day.
