Judy May Ahrns, 77, of Grayling

Judy Ahrns of Grayling passed away on January 2, 2022, losing her battle with Covid.

Judy was born on February 9, 1944 to Arthur and Emma Hoffman Williams. After graduation from Grayling High School, she worked for a short time as a waitress in a couple of local establishments. It was then time to pursue her ambition of becoming a beautician. She enrolled in a Beauty School in Bay City, Michigan, graduated, received her license, and started her career in Grayling. She spent her entire working career in her home town, retiring in 2009.

Judy is survived by her husband, Robert Ahrns, whom she married on July 3, 1964; two sons, Bruce and Robert (Gina) Ahrns; grandson Robbie and wife Fabby and their children Bradley age 5, Isabella age 3, and Olivia age 1 year. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Emma Williams; brothers Albert, Robert, Richard, and Ray; sister Joan Welch.

Judy loved her family. She was a loving wife and mother. Then came her only grandchild, Robbie whom she adored, then his loving wife Fabby, and yes then came her 3 precious great-grandchildren. She loved them so much and they surely helped fill the void that she had endured during her lifetime.

Judy will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Cremation has taken place and no public services are planned. Condolences may be sent to www.sorensonlockwood.com.

Arrangements by Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
