Joyce Jacquelin Grusecki, age 97, of Tawas City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, at MediLodge of Tawas City. Joyce was born to the late Harold and Vina Munro in Twining, Michigan, on July 21, 1926. She spent her childhood in Twining and was a proud graduate of Arenac Eastern High School. Following high school, Joyce began her work career. She was a commercial secretary for several years working with the Engineering Staff at Dearborn Automotive. Joyce would also spend time volunteering at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital, helping in any way she could. Joyce married the love of her life, Barney Grusecki on March 9, 1946, in Twining, Michigan, and the two spent 64 amazing years together before Barney’s passing in 2010. Some of Joyce’s favorite hobbies consisted of reading, puzzles, playing the organ, and spoiling her cats.
Joyce is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Barney Grusecki; parents, Harold and Vina Munro; and her four siblings.
Per Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Joyce will be interred in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, with her husband Barney at a later date. You may leave an online condolence at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
