Mary Beth R. Hansen

Mary Beth R. Hansen, 83, of Higgins Lake, died May 9, 2018 at home.

Mary was born in Owosso May 10, 1935 to George Elmer and Lucille Neva (Buck) Winkler. She married Wayne Robinson on May 15, 2954 in Carland MI. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1983. On May 5, 1990, she married Roger A. Hansen in Roscommon.

Mary moved to Higgins Lake in 1959. During their marriage, Roger and Mary resided in Sebring FL, Crossville, TN, Higgins Lake and Roscommon.

Mary was employed for 22 years in the Gerrish-Higgins School District, 16 years as secretary at Roscommon Elementary and secretary for the superintendent for six years. She retired in 1990.

She attended Immanuel Baptist Church.

Mary enjoyed fishing, knitting, crocheting, and reading her Bible. She knitted or crocheted at least one blanket for each of her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Roger; children, Renee (Rick) Nelson of Midland, Ricky Robinson of Houghton Lake, Randa (Paul) Stern of Detroit, Robbe (Gail) Robinson of Glen Allen, VA, Cheryl Dipzinski of Gaylord, Sheila (Randel) Dobben of Wyoming and Gary Hansen of FL; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and siblings, Mavis Umphenour of Overland Park, KS; Shirley Gute of Owosso; Thomas (Dohreen) Winkler of TN and Patrick (Patricia) Winkler of Lone Tree, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wayne Robinson. She also had a great-grandson, Conner Mulka who has been waiting in heaven for his great grandma.

Private services will be held with Dr. David E. Hansen officiating.

Burial will be in Gerrish Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon is serving the family.
