Frances Rose Rieger of Roscommon

Frances Rose Rieger, 81, of Roscommon passed away on Saturday October 28, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Crawford Continuing Care with her loving family by her side.

Frances was born on January 11, 1936 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Peter and Frances (Vitale) Bozzo. She grew up and graduated high school in the Wyandotte area. Frances was married on June 22, 1957 in Wyandotte to Nicholas Casper Rieger. Nicholas preceded Frances on August 18, 2017 following 60 years of marriage. The couple moved to the Markey Twp. area in 2010 from Wyandotte. She was a homemaker most of her life with family being her priority and her love.

Surviving Mrs. Rieger are her daughter, Frances (Bob) Moldenhauer of Marysville; three sons, Steve (Ann) Rieger of Roscommon, Peter Rieger of Lincoln Park, and George (Brenda) Rieger of Prudenville; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Selena), Andrew (Sarah), Mary, Luke, Madeline, and David; five great grandchildren, Ella, Jasmine, Sierra, Peyton, and Andrew, Jr; several nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by husband, Nicholas Casper Rieger, grandson, Steven, brother, Samuel Bozzo and her parents.

Funeral Services for Frances Rose Rieger will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday November 1, 2017 from Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel with Rev. Karen Henderlong officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Frances are asked to be directed to Munson Healthcare Crawford Continuing Care, 1100 E. Michigan Avenue, Grayling, Michigan 49738. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com.
