ROSCOMMON – Carol Preston, resident of Bothell, WA and part time resident of Roscommon and Stefane Preston of Roscommon are traveling to the Dockdog World Championships in Knoxville TN this week.
Carol and her yellow lab, Bishop, have received invitations to compete in Big Air, Speed Retrieve, Extreme Vertical and Iron Dog. Bishop is a 4 year old, has been competing for three years and this is his third year earning invitations to compete with the “best of the best” in Knoxville.
Stefane and her chocolate lab, Goose, are competing in Big Air. Goose is a 2 year old lab rescued as a puppy from Georgia. He was found in a ditch with scars all over his body. He was about eight weeks old and the Prestons adopted him when he was 16 weeks. This is his first year to earn an invitation to the world championships.
There will be over 500 dogs and their handlers competing Oct. 25 through 29. Dockdog competitions are held all over the US, Canada and Australia.
