Evah Mae Lenz of Prudenville

Evah Mae Lenz, 86, of Prudenville, passed away June 10, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

She was born on December 21, 1930 in Stittsville to Max and Tillie (Sheldon) Sherman, and grew up in the Missaukee County area. She received a Licensed Practical Nurse Degree and was employed as a nurse by King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Houghton Lake for several years.

She moved from Moorestown to Prudenville more than 20 years ago where she married Robert E. Lenz on September 20, 1997.

Mrs. Lenz was an active member of the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge and enjoyed being active in the Moose Heart Charities.

Surviving are her loving husband of 20 years, Robert Lenz of Prudenville; daughter, Carol Aldrich of Cadillac; two sons, Poncho (Lana) Aldrich of Lake City, and Willy Aldrich of Marion; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and four step-sons, Robert Lenz, Jr. of CA, Danny Lenz of CA, Patrick Lenz of OK, and Mark Lenz of Warren.

Also surviving are sister, Lola Sherman of Lake City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Shirley, Thelma, Barbara, and Ardith; three brothers, Dan, Dale, and Max Jr.

Memorial Services will be conducted at the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge June 24 at 1:00 pm.

Memorial contributions in memory of Evah are asked to be directed to Moose Heart Charities.

Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
