Chris Dawson of Houghton Lake


Chris Dawson, 67, of Houghton Lake, passed away June 5, 2017 at home.

He was born on March 31, 1950 in Allen Park to Harry and Sylvia (Gibbs) Dawson. He moved to the Houghton Lake area from Detroit 40 years ago.

Mr. Dawson was employed as a foreman by Lakeside Stamping in Prudenville for several years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and enjoyed being with his dogs.

Surviving are his two daughters, Kristi (T,J,) Lorenz of Saint Helen, and Nicole Dawson of Chicago, IL; son, Christopher Kinnison of Pontiac; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Edith Dawson Sabutsch.

Private family services for Chris Dawson will be conducted.

Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville.

Memorial contributions in memory of Chris are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
