Robert B. Marecki of Houghton Lake

Robert B. Marecki, 68, of Houghton Lake passed away June 5, 2016 at Munson Healthcare-Grayling Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Robert was born on November 11, 1947 in Germany to Marceli & Alfreda (Domagalski) Marecki. He married Marie A. Kubasiewicz on October 4, 1969 in Detroit.

Mr. Marecki retired from General Motors where he was employed as a millwright. The couple moved to Houghton Lake in 1992 from Chesterfield Township. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Alano Club, and enjoyed fishing and was a master at fixing things.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Marie A Marecki of Houghton Lake; daughter, Angelique Barker of Clinton Township; grandson, Robert Barker of Fraser; and mother, Alfreda Marecki of Richmond.

Also surviving are brothers, Richard Marecki of Warren, and Stanley (Katherine) Marecki of Richmond; sister, Mary (Gerard) Szczerbinski of Richmond; nephews, Marcel and Alexander (Melissa); nieces, Monica, Katherine and Victoria; and a great niece and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father Marceli and sister-in-law Susann.

Memorial services for Robert B. Marecki will be held at 11 a.m. July 16 from the Houghton Lake Alano Club, 2410 N. Markey Road, Houghton Lake.
