OGEMAW COUNTY- The Optimist Club of West Branch held its 9th Annual Camel Races on March 19 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on M-30. Thirty businesses participated by buying a camel and dressing it up to depict the business. The event raises money to benefit the children of Ogemaw County – proceeds go to sponsor events such as the Fishing Derby in Irons Park, a Halloween party at Surline Schools, scholarships, and more.
