Mia’ Incredible Art Shoppe brings new creative outlet to downtown Fairview

By Elana Warsen

FAIRVIEW – A new business will provide a creative outlet in the heart of downtown Fairview. Located directly across from the Post Office, Mia’ (an acronym for Mariah’ Incredible Art Shoppe) is a ceramic studio and gift shop run by mother-daughter duo Christal and Mariah Bills, of Comins.

‘We both loved working with ceramics,’ Christal said. ‘So when Mariah told me she wanted to move back to Comins from Wyoming, we decided to go into business together.’ Running a business has been a welcome career change for Mariah, who previously worked in the physically demanding nurse’ aide profession.

Mia’ opened its doors on Feb. 5 and is open Tues. – Sat. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patrons can visit Mia’ for ceramics classes or to shop for crafts created by local artists. Mia’ is located at 1526 N. Abbe Rd. in Fairview. Owner Mariah Bills can be reached at 480-249-1887.
