Trooper involved in three-vehicle crash

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI – At approximately 9:20 a.m. today, a trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post was involved in a three-vehicle crash in Grand Traverse County. The crash occurred on N. Keystone Road in Blair Township. The trooper was south bound on N. Keystone Rd. attempting to make a left turn on to Hoch Road when a grey Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 55-year-old Mt. Pleasant woman struck the trooper’s vehicle from behind. The force of the crash sent the trooper into oncoming north bound traffic where he was struck again by a 20-year-old woman from Cedar driving a red Honda Pilot. The trooper and driver of the Honda reported no injuries at the scene. The at fault driver as taken to Munson Hospital in Traverse City and hospitalized for broken ribs and foot.

The crash remains under investigation.
