ROSCOMMON– The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is proud to announce the creation of the B A-Mayes-ing Scholarship Fund, the Foundation’s 108th fund, established to honor the life, legacy, and enduring spirit of Ben Mayes.
Ben Mayes was known for his strength, kindness, generosity, and unwavering determination in the face of extraordinary challenges. He often shared that he was “proud to be a part of a community that encourages and supports kids’ dreams,” and this new scholarship will ensure that his passion for helping young people continues for generations to come.
The B A-Mayes-ing Scholarship Fund serves as a lasting tribute to Ben’s courage and resilient grace. Through educational opportunities, the scholarship will help graduating students pursue their goals while carrying forward the values that Ben exemplified throughout his life.
The scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors from Roscommon High School who plan to continue their education at an accredited college, university, community college, trade school, technical school, or vocational program. Eligible applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25.
