ST. HELEN — The St Helen Chamber of Commerce will host the Summer Kick-Off & Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 30 at thr Richfield Township Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The day will begin with an opening ceremony with the Patriot Singers at 11 a.m.
The family event will include Jenny’s Sweet Creations & More baked goods, 222 Northern Brew coffee, Vendors & Crafters, a Petting Zoo, Happy Pups Dog Nail Trims, and Crafts for Kids, sponsored by Richfield Public Library. Visitors can also enjoy a pie eating contest, then a Watermelon eating contest, sponsored by Fultz Insurance, along with the Hot Dog Eating Contest at noon, sponsored by Woody’s Hot Dog.
Family activities will continue throughout the day including:
Jump House / ALL DAY, supplied by Richfield Township Public Safety; Tug of War, Adult Tug of War; Adult Karaoke 1 p.m.; then Kids Karaoke 1:30 p.m.;, and the Bluegill Pinewood Derby from 2-4 p.m. The event also includes Minnow Races, sponsored by The Minnow Bucket , family games, a Dunk Tank supplied by Richfield Twp. Public Safety, and Two 50/50 fundraisers with a drawing @at 4 p.m.
Guests can also take part in the Rib Cooking Contest, with judging at 4 p.m. Raffle tickets will be for sale all day for a bicycle with helmet and BBQ Equipment, with each drawing at 4 p.m. as well.
