Santa Express rolls through Trestle Park

DENTON TOWNSHIP – The 4th Annual Trestle Park Express and Tree Lighting was held Dec. 3 with events starting at the Denton Township Stone Hall.

There were crafts for the kids, storytelling, face painting, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Later, everyone walked over to Trestle Park to light the Christmas tree and enjoy carols and hot chocolate.

Mary Michela with Friends of Trestle Park (FOTP) was excited over this year’ event.

‘We have oodles of volunteers this year,’ Michela said. ‘More than previous years.’

Volunteers included Jr. National Honor Society (NHS) members, NHS members, and parents.

Michela also mentioned the FOTP have new plans for 2018.

‘We are looking at some really cool new events. We are working on nailing down the details,’ she said.

Events sponsored by FOTP are all paid for by sponsors including their Third Thursday Concerts which will be continuing in the summer of 2018.
