Free downloadable aBooks and audio books are available to residents of Roscommon County!
We are writing today to ensure the awareness of the tens of thousands of eBooks that can be downloaded for free on to your Kindle, iPad, or other device. The Roscommon Area District Library and the Houghton Lake Public Library offer their customers access to a wide variety of titles. Many community residents are using similar paid services such as Amazon or Audible and we want to save our residents money!
The digital libraries, accessible through an app called Overdrive, let people download any available item (similar to a physical library in that there are limited copies) using only their library cards.
