Mrs. Tullis

By Austin Evans, student

HALE- As a high school student, Mrs. Tullis found herself more intrigued by her science courses than any other subject. When she became a college student, Mrs. Tullis began taking more than the required amount of science courses needed because of her interest. When she decided that she was going to work toward becoming a teacher, her first choice was to be a science teacher.

Mrs. Tullis has been working in the education field since 2020. Prior to becoming a teacher at our school, she was a computer lab manager for a middle school in South Mississippi. Before she became a teacher, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and spent most of her 20’s working as a business manager.

Mrs. Tullis has three cats that she shares with her husband, her favorite of the three cats is her oldest, Livi. Livi is a rescue that Mrs. Tullis got when she was in college and is the first cat she owned as an adult. Once Mrs. Tullis moved to Michigan and could finally observe all four seasons in full, she decided that her favorite season of the year was fall. Mrs. Tullis enjoys the cooler weather and seeing the beautiful colors changing on the trees. She also likes that football takes place in the fall. Her favorite sport to watch is college football, she spends most of her weekends from September to February watching football with her husband. Mrs. Tullis’ favorite college football team is The University of Alabama.

Hale would like to give a warm welcome to Mrs. Tullis as our new Middle School and High School Science teacher.
