Shoebox parade

By Isabella Barkholz, student

HALE- On March 22, there was a parade for the elementary school. It was to celebrate the participants of March Reading Month. The students were graded on their projects if they had a costume, shoebox, or poster. All the kids did such a great job, the projects were creative and well done.

Many teachers decorated their doors to celebrate March Reading Month. Kindergarten through fifth grade students engaged in March Reading Month and the Shoebox parade. Their projects were based on their favorite books to read. Family members of the students were able to come in and watch the elementary students present their projects.
