ROSCOMMON – The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce they have awarded their very first Community Choice Grant to the Roscommon Area District Library (RADL). RADL was nominated by the community, and ultimately received the most ‘likes’ resulting in a big win for their organization. RADL was presented with a $1,000.00 grant funded by The Ambassador Club Fund.
The Community Choice grant awarded to RADL helped fund their summer reading program. The summer reading program is a great way to encourage children to read. Throughout the program children had the chance to earn tickets per book they read to earn prizes from a raffle drawing. Children also had the opportunity to enjoy games, snacks, food and live music.
