Noella Clara (DesRosiers) Gerstner of Higgins Lake

Noella Clara (DesRosiers) Gerstner, 93, of Higgins Lake passed away May 12, 2017 at her home.

A Memorial Mass will be at noon, Sept. 30 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Roscommon with Rev. Father Richard Schaeffer officiating.

Burial was at Gerrish Township Cemetery.

Noella was born in Detroit on Dec. 15, 1923 to Ernest and Agatha (Adam) DesRosiers. She married Daniel J. Gerstner Feb. 1, 1947 in Detroit.

They resided in Higgins Lake since 1984, coming from Warren.

Mrs. Gerstner was a librarian for the Warren Public Library for 14 years. She retired in 1984.

She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Roscommon.

She was a member of Charles M. Engel VFW Auxiliary in Roscommon and a volunteer at Hilltop Manor and a blood drive volunteer.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Gerstner; three brothers, John, Leo and Joe DesRosiers; and a sister, Rose Bondy.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon served the family.
