ROSCOMMON – The Village of Roscommon has retained a new village manager.
Ron Alden, former principal of Roscommon High School, President of the Roscommon Rotary Club, and the current Higgins Township treasurer, accepted the position last week. The board voted 7-0 to hire Alden.
The board initially voted 4-3 to hire Andrew Niedzinki of Bay City, who declined to accept the position.
Alden replaces John Rosczyk, who opted to resign earlier this month due in part to a request for his resignation by council member Dan Scow at a February public meeting.
